In hospice care situations, nurses and social workers often hear patients say “I wish I would have…” or “I thought I’d have more time to…”

At Blessing Hospice & Palliative Care, our team motto is to “Add life to days” for our patients—giving them opportunities to celebrate holidays and special occasions, encouraging family time and helping fulfill wishes. However, we would love to see fewer patients in the future who say “I wish I would have…” because they spent their healthier years doing all of those things on the proverbial “bucket list.”

The Quincy Before I Die Wall is sponsored by Blessing Hospice & Palliative Care this summer. We want our community members, and those just passing through Quincy, to visit the wall as many times as they want this summer to write down their own hopes, goals, dreams, etc. for the things they wish to do before they die. We are proud to encourage our community to think about the things they want to see and do,
nand to add as much life to their days as possible.

I want to drive a train.

I want to do a head stand.

I want to see my babies have babies.

I want to shock the nation.
